The Rutgers University Psychology Department and the Positive Schools Center at the University of Maryland School of Social Work will host a two-day workshop entitled: “Beyond the Basics: Teaching the Whole Student.”  The workshop will be held on Monday and Tuesday, May 1-2, 2017 at the University of Maryland BioPark Life Sciences Conference Center.

The purpose of this workshop is to help educators infuse Social/Emotional Learning (SEL) practices into their classrooms.  This two-day workshop will:
•         Prepare educators, school support staff, and youth workers to teach social-emotional and character development in the classroom, in small groups, or out of school programs.
•         Serve as a gateway to a Certificate in Instruction in Social Emotional and Character Development (SECD) from the Academy for Social-Emotional Learning in Schools.

The cost of this professional opportunity is $65.00 per attendee.  This is a $415 discount from the online version of the course.  This workshop serves as the first two parts of a three part certification in SECD (Social Emotional Character Development) from Rutgers University.

If you are interested in participating, please email dara@darafeldman.com.  The deadline to register is Wednesday, April 27th; however, the workshop is limited to the first 40 participants who register, so act fast!
