In order for restorative practices to be effective for young learners, restorative practitioners must consider the developmental range of children in grades K-8, and must accommodate a young learner’s attention span, energy level, learning style, and expressive and receptive language capacity. Participants will translate restorative practices to the primary school classroom by adapting proactive and responsive approaches to the developmental stages of K-8 students.
